FAST & CAT Make Joint Venture to Produce Hydraulic Automatic Transmission

www.chinaspv.com: FAST, the biggest domestic heavy-duty transmission maker, signed agreement with American Auto Giant, CAT, to build a joint venture to produce heavy-duty hydraulic automatic transmission and other spare parts to meet market needs from home and abroad.

Xi'an FC Intelligence Transmission Company is located in Xi'an High-tech Industrial Park with total investment of one billion Yuan. The company will absorb CAT CX series AT technology and produce transmission and other spare parts used in CAT engineering machines. Its annual output will amount to 120,000 AT and 1.5 million parts with sales revenues over ten billion Yuan.

The win-win partnership can make full use of advantages of FAST and CAT on technology and marketing networks to break monopoly of foreign company's on hydraulic automatic transmission.

Currently all hydraulic automatic transmissions used in heavy-duty trucks are exported, and coaches equipped with hydraulic automatic transmission will be increased by 20% with the development of city bus and tourism. And  50% of buses will use AT, so will high-end trucks, tractors, off-road vehicles and other special purpose vehicles in a couple of years.
