SDLG to Establish Production Base in Brazil

www.chinaspv.com: Volvo Construction Equipment has announced that its affiliate SDLG was to establish production in Brazil in 2013.

Olney, global president of Volvo Construction Equipment said that since the expansion into Brazil market in 2009, SDLG has received outstanding result. The localization production of excavator symbolized the further increase of market share of the company in Brazil. Products from SDLG remained the leading position among domestic brands in Brazil in terms of export and market share.

The company has sold 36,000 units in the first 10 months and accounted for 13.7% of the market share with 180 dealers nationwide. Olney said that though the engineering machinery was faced with a sluggish market, China was still the largest market in the world and is the core business for Volvo. The growth in next year is estimated to be smooth.
