www.chinaspv.com: For about a year, Dongfeng Dana Axle Shiyan Parts Plant introduces advanced DES management in various workshops for trial, promotion and application, which in turn improves production efficiency and lowers manufacturing cost.
It is learned that DES promotion started since January of 2012. DES promotion team mastered the current situation of application value flow diagram, time and action analysis and work balance chart in various production lines of No. 1, 4, and 5 workshops. Seven big wastes in production lines were found out and production line layout began optimized. Guided by the latest process layout, the number of production lines in these three workshops mentioned above reduces to 26 from the original 31. In addition, the number of equipments reduces to 221 from 257. Workers also reduce 17 people than before. By virtue of a series of improvements of DES, the plant achieves qualitative leaps in JPMH as well as fast mold changeover.
