50 CIMC Silvergreen Refrigerated Semi-trailers for Nicolosi Trasporti, Catania

www.chinaspv.com: German trailer manufacturer, CIMC Silvergreen, has supplied 50 refrigerated semi-trailers (Type Reefer SR03) to refrigerated transport specialists Nicolosi Trasporti in Catania, Sicily. The first ten vehicles complete with refrigeration equipment and partition walls were handed over by CIMC Silvergreen Sales Director, Milan Strmecki, on Thursday to the forwarding agency owner, Gaetano Nicolosi.

Neu-Ulm/Catania, 12th September 2013. The Italian haulage experts, Nicolosi Trasporti, has awarded a major contract for 50 new refrigerated semi-trailers to the new German trailer manufacturer, CIMC Silvergreen. The first ten Reefer SR03 type vehicles were handed over this week to the transport company which specializes in temperature-controlled deliveries. The remaining units will follow by the end of this year. "Although it is a young company, CIMC Silvergreen convinced me through its innovative, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective products as well as due to its background featuring a team of very experienced staff members and a strong Chinese parent company," said Gaetano Nicolosi, owner of 1962-founded forwarding agency at the handover ceremony. "In addition, there are the wide range of cargo control possibilities with the new aluminum load-securing floor and not least the great support provided by the local sales office." CIMC Silvergreen Sales Director, Milan Strmecki, is extremely pleased about the order from Catania: "The fact that we could win over such a renowned and experienced refrigerated carrier as Nicolosi Trasporti for our refrigerated semi-trailer is a clear testimony to the efficiency and competitiveness of our products and services."

The CIMC Silvergreen SR03 refrigerated semi-trailer for Nicolosi Trasporti have been designed for refrigerated transport purposes and are respectively equipped with a partition wall. As standard, the vehicles are equipped with a low-noise aluminum cargo-control floor with nine countersunk load-securing rails that provide previously unknown load-securing options and thus offers the user the highest possible degree of operational flexibility. Furthermore, the floor rails are also used for air returns below the loaded cargo. As a result, the cold air is distributed quickly and evenly throughout the vehicle which improves the cooling performance and reduces energy consumption. The Reefer SR03 is based on an integrated chassis complete with a stable sliding plate in the neck area. The body consists of sandwich panels with face sheets made of steel sheeting on both the interior and exterior sides with a CFC-free rigid polyurethane foam filling. Nicolosi will use the vehicles mainly in Italy for supplying discount stores with fresh and frozen goods.

Forwarding agents, Nicolosi Trasporti, has its headquarters in Catania in Sicily with branch offices in Palermo, Naples, Frosinone, Parma and Malta. For more than 30 years, the company has specialized in refrigerated transport and today operates a fleet of 400 refrigerated semi-trailers throughout Italy. All vehicles are equipped with a satellite monitoring system. In addition, customers have a total of 17,000 square metres of covered warehouse space available as well as 3,600 square metres of cold storage facilities.
