Evonik Group will Set up Carbon Black Plant in Brazil

www.chinaspv.com: On 25 July 2014, German Evonik Group will invest ten millions Euro to establish a plant in St. Paulo to produce white carbon black for the demand of tire industry. This plant is the first production base of precipitated silica of this group in South America, putting into production in 2016 as the prediction.

The founding of this plant results from the rapid development of the automobile industry in South America in the past several years and newly implemented tire labeling systems in Brazil, which accelerating the fast growth of the demand on low rolling resistance tires, energy saving and pushing the prosperity of white carbon black.
