August 12, 2021, Yulin, China, Lately, National Development and Reform Commission released first batch of 38 national engineering research centers selected in new sequence management. Yuchai efficient and energy-saving internal combustion engine project research center was selected, the only one in Guangxi and within the industry.
From February 2021, 89 engineering research centers joined in optimization, integration and reorganization. After NDRC’s review, Yuchai efficient and energy-saving internal combustion engine project research center was selected and became one of the 38 national engineering research centers.
In recent years, Yuchai insisted on innovation-driven development strategy and strengthened platform innovative system construction. It has developed a series of efficient and environmentally friendly internal combustion engine products and technologies with independent intellectual property rights and international advanced level, and become the technological innovation example in China’s internal combustion engine industry. In the future, Yuchai will focus on national major strategy and engineering needs, improve innovation ability, build national strategic technology power and achieve leading position in world internal combustion engine industry.
