XCMG excavators operated in Ethiopia

November 18, 2022, Ethiopia, Recently, 20 units XCMG excavators were operated in the construction of the Ethiopian road project, which will deepen China-Egypt friendship.

It is understood that the total mileage of the project is 156.589km, connecting high mountains and valleys with vast sandy seas, and is expected to be completed in February 2023. Infrastructure construction is the foundation of a strong country. There is a saying in Ethiopia: we take care of the road as we take care of the business.

After the project is completed, it will greatly shorten the distance between the capital of Ethiopia and the north, promote local economic and social development, and greatly improve the living level of the Ethiopian people. With its efficient and reliable product competitiveness, XCMG has laid a solid foundation for the full-speed advancement of this important project.

The project straddles the plateau mountains and desert areas in the northeast of Ethiopia. The Great Rift Valley of East Africa runs through the entire territory of Ethiopia. The ground is covered with black volcanic rocks and is severely weathered. The rugged geographical environment and harsh construction conditions pose serious challenge for XCMG excavators’ performance and durability.

In order to ensure strong digging force under extreme working conditions, XCMG XE370D adopts heavy-duty strengthened working devices and reinforced chassis to improve construction reliability and stability; it is equipped with Isuzu engine and Kawasaki hydraulic system, which has strong power and greatly speeds up excavation and loading and crushing operation efficiency; the latest generation controller is applied to optimize the matching of engine power and reduce the fuel consumption of the whole machine, which is economical and durable.

As the first batch of Chinese construction machinery companies to enter the African market, XCMG overcame all difficulties under the circumstances of the epidemic and unstable situation, and continued to provide customers with technical support and maintenance.
