Relying on the close cooperation with Hydrogen Propulsion Technology and Anji Logistics, SAIC Hongyan Genlyon H6 fuel cell tractors have been put into logistics transportation in Jiading and Lingang, Shanghai, frequently commuting to and from the production of various vehicle and parts companies and undertaking the transportation task of auto parts with efficient and zero-carbon operation performance.

The tripartite cooperation among SAIC Hongyan, Hydrogen Propulsion Technology and Anji Logistics is one of the specific measures to continuously expand the hydrogen energy application space and boost the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Shanghai. It is also a joint ecological chain partner of SAIC Hongyan, an important layout to promote the commercial application of fuel cell vehicles and boost the development of the hydrogen energy industry.

The Hongyan Genlyon 49-ton fuel cell tractor, which was put into the logistics and transportation of auto parts in Jiading and Lingang, is equipped with a 127kWh CATL power battery with a maximum torque of 1600-2500N·m. The P3X fuel cell system can achieve a rated power output of 117kW and a system peak power output of 120kW. Its industry-leading fuel cell volumetric power density of 3.7KW/L can effectively meet the application of various operating scenarios.
The hydrogen storage capacity of Hongyan Genlyon 49-ton fuel cell tractor is 31kg, and it only takes 20 minutes to fill up the hydrogen; in addition, the hydrogen consumption of this vehicle can reach as low as 7.2kg/100km, and the maximum cruising range of the standard configuration can reach more than 400 kilometers.
Besides Shanghai, SAIC Hongyan hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks have been listed as recommended models in several hydrogen energy demonstration cities, and will gradually land more than 10,000 vehicles in the next four years. And SAIC Hongyan's world's first 10,000-unit hydrogen-energy heavy truck industrial chain project in Ordos has landed and achieved phased results.
The new energy heavy-duty truck base in Ordos was built by SAIC Hongyan in response to the national strategic call of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality". The total investment of the project is 2 billion yuan, and it is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2024. After putting into production, the base will adopt digital process data system, manufacturing operation management system (MOM), on-site automation equipment integration system, etc., and fully introduce large-scale automatic guided vehicle (AGV) intelligent production line to realize the whole process of digital information management and form flexible production capacity. The annual output of new energy heavy trucks can reach 24,000 units, and the annual output value will exceed 20 billion yuan. It will truly make a positive contribution to China’s green and low-carbon development.

At present, under the background of the national "double carbon" target, local policy support and the rapid development of the industry, the domestic hydrogen energy industry is entering fast development. SAIC Hongyan will also continue to actively respond to the call for energy conservation and emission reduction, deepen the innovative research and development of hydrogen energy technology, and work with partners to implement green and low-carbon land transportation solutions, bringing more possibilities to accelerate the commercialization of fuel cells!
