Foton and Yuchai Deepen Cooperation

February 23, 2023, Guangxi, China, From February 12th to 13th, Chang Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd., visited Yuchai and held talks with Yuchai Chairman Li Hanyang and other leaders. The two sides reached a consensus on a new development strategy and formed cooperation projects to expand the market together.

Since Foton Motor started cooperation with Yuchai in 2002, the two parties have continued to strengthen cooperation based on the principle of strategic mutual trust, expanding from vehicle business to engine business, and vehicle business from passenger cars to medium and heavy trucks and light trucks, and the two parties have established a good strategic partnership.

During the high-level talks between the two parties, a strategic cooperation consensus was reached in key market breakthroughs, joint customer development, and marketing co-construction and sharing.

Chang Rui expressed the hope that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in product update and development, marketing service channel construction, etc., and jointly strengthen and expand the market through measures such as sharing and co-building distribution platforms, developing major projects and major customers.

Li Hanyang said that Yuchai adheres to the strategic positioning of "being an independent professional power system supplier" and hopes to further strengthen joint development, joint marketing and joint promotion with Foton to form a strong synergy and jointly expand the market of traditional power and new energy power in domestic and overseas markets.

Chang Rui and his party visited and inspected Yuchai Xinlan R&D base and production workshop to gain an in-depth understanding of Yuchai's R&D, production capacity and marketing service channels.
