April 3, 2023, China, In order to further expand Dong Cummins’ product line, under the careful deployment of Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., recently, 6.7N (National VI/Euro VI) products officially took over from 15N products, becoming a new force in the company's gas products. This product has the characteristics of small batches, multiple customers, and multiple applications. At present, it has begun to match customer prototypes in the domestic market, and has the conditions for small batch production.
At present, 6.7N has successfully realized the matching of Dongfeng trucks, Ouhui buses and Zhongtong buses, and has made staged progress.
On March 6, 2023, the first batch of three complete vehicles officially rolled off the assembly line. The project team rushed to the OEM as soon as possible, completed the vehicle off-line review on site, and fully communicated with the OEM sales team on product performance and advantages to enhance customer confidence in 6.7N products. The vehicles will be officially delivered to end customers in early April, which indicates that the 6.7N matching trucks are basically ready for mass production, which is a solid step for the successful advancement of the project.
At the beginning of March 2023, the 6.7N 280PS 12m passenger vehicle of Zhongtong rolled off the production line and successfully completed the test run. This complete vehicle jointly built by Dongfeng Cummins and Zhongtong will be used for Euro VI development certification and road test verification, providing a strong guarantee to produce 6.7N products with excellent performance and high quality.
From the perspective of global planning, the 6.7N Euro VI produced by Dongfeng Cummins will be the only medium-horsepower product of Cummins in the world that meets Euro VI regulations in the future, and will undoubtedly occupy a place in the global gas market.
