Dongfeng Motor delivers 200 hydrogen-powered vehicles

June 26, 2023, Hubei, China, Recently, Dongfeng Motor and National Hydrogen Technology collaborated on the production of 200 hydrogen-powered vehicles, marking a successful delivery and signing of new orders ceremony in Wuhan, Hubei province. It is reported that the project commenced in December 2022, with vehicles being progressively delivered to customers. A total of 200 Dongfeng hydrogen-powered vehicles were delivered, including 100 4.5-ton standard temperature box trucks and 100 4.5-ton refrigerated box trucks.

These vehicles will be used for urban distribution and bulk commodity transportation within Wuhan city. Equipped with the fuel cell system, independently developed by National Hydrogen Technology, these vehicles can achieve a range of 400 kilometers when fully loaded with hydrogen fuel. This range surpasses that of pure electric light trucks while maintaining zero carbon emissions and zero pollution throughout the entire journey.

This delivery represents the largest disclosed scale of hydrogen-powered vehicle deployment in Wuhan to date. It marks the beginning of large-scale application of hydrogen-powered zero-carbon transportation in Wuhan and accumulates valuable experience for Dongfeng Motor's future development and market promotion of hydrogen fuel vehicle models.

In the future, Dongfeng Motor will continue to strengthen its deep cooperation with National Hydrogen Technology, develop more hydrogen-powered vehicles that meet market demand, promote the application of light commercial vehicles in different scenarios, and contribute to the high-quality development of the country's low-carbon initiatives.
