The highlight of the event was the Zhongtong LCK6106D6Z1, the industry's first automatic transmission school bus designed specifically for primary and middle school students. With a length of 10.4 meters, this school bus was meticulously developed by Zhongtong Bus to address the complexities of frequent starts, reverses, and turns that school buses encounter. By introducing the industry's first automatic transmission school bus, Zhongtong Bus aims to reduce the workload and enhance the safety and comfort of driving for the drivers, ensuring a better experience for the students on board.

The showcased school bus features a robust diamond-sealed safety structure design and is equipped with the ADAS system to prevent slipping during uphill starts, providing enhanced safety and supporting the high-quality transformation of school bus operations.

Additionally, another model presented at the event was the Zhongtong X5 series school bus, specifically designed for preschool and primary school students. With a compact length of only 5.7 meters, the X5 series boasts multiple safety barriers such as front and rear anti-collision beams and a multi-stage energy-absorbing structure. The interior is equipped with fully soft furnishings made of environmentally friendly flame-retardant materials for a healthier environment. The bus is also equipped with a reminder system to prevent forgetting children on board and features a comprehensive protection system, providing 360-degree safety for the students. Notably, the X5 series school bus is the only one among the domestic buses with a length below 6 meters to have completed a frontal collision test in a national-level body laboratory, reaffirming its safety performance.
