October 8, 2023, China, On September 25th, FAW Jiefang signed an agreement for the development of the Vision Power Intelligent Battery Manufacturing Base project. This marks a significant move by FAW Jiefang towards achieving its "dual carbon" strategic goals and building core capabilities in the field of new energy for commercial vehicles. It represents a crucial step in Jiefang’s transformation towards new energy in the field of power. The Group considers this project as a new starting point and will collaborate closely with Wuxi to expedite its construction, production, and results. Simultaneously, they aim to strengthen technological innovation, striving to establish themselves as a leading provider of commercial vehicle power battery solutions in China and a world-class one globally. This effort is aimed at actively contributing to the prosperity and development of the new energy vehicle industry in Wuxi, and on a national scale.

As one of the core components of new energy vehicles, power batteries play a pivotal role in the new energy vehicle industry chain. Accelerating breakthroughs in key core technologies and providing high-quality product services is of significant importance. In recent years, China FAW Jiefang has consistently increased its efforts in technology development in the fields of new energy and intelligent connectivity, vigorously promoting the rise of new energy vehicles. The project aims to research and develop power batteries and related energy storage products mainly for heavy and light commercial vehicles. It aspires to create a globally leading smart manufacturing base for commercial vehicle batteries, an innovation center for new energy commercial vehicle business models, and an incubation base for the development of exclusive new energy commercial vehicle products.
