BYD T5 DM New Energy RV

November 24, 2025
This is a flat-nose light truck RV modified by Famerui RV based on the BYD T5 DM plug-in extended-range new energy chassis. In terms of appearance, it adopts a body anti-explosion paint coating similar to haze blue. The anti-explosion paint armor coating is very good-looking, so there are no decals for decoration. This is a rear-mounted door-to-door layout RV with a single extension design on the left side. In terms of exterior dimensions, it is 5995×2380×3330(mm), which is not small. It is a standard C-type RV, but it can still be driven with a C-license plate and a green license plate, enjoying the same exemption from expressway tolls during holidays as a family car.

The chassis of BYD T5 DM is its biggest highlight, and the key point is its new energy attribute. The hybrid system composed of two sets of systems on the vehicle body is equipped with BYD's self-developed 1.5T hybrid-specific engine. The engine and the drive system are completely decouple, which can always maintain the best operating state under different working conditions. The electricity generated can either directly drive the vehicle or be stored in the power battery, thereby achieving a higher energy-saving effect. In addition, the BYD T5DM adopts an integrated electric drive axle, and the peak power of BYD's self-developed flat wire motor has reached 150kW.

The chassis is equipped with a 55.39-kwh battery pack, and when paired with a 100-liter fuel tank for the entire vehicle, theoretically, it can achieve a range of 1,000 kilometers when fully fueled and charged. The claimed pure electric range is around 150 kilometers. However, after being converted into a recreational vehicle, the actual range will be discounted due to the weight. Therefore, it is still necessary to rely on a range extender to generate electricity and increase the range. For areas with a high density of charging piles, using the built-in fast charging device is also quite convenient. It only takes half an hour to charge the battery from 20% to 80%.
