August 26, 2022, Henan, China, On August 24, Yutong Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. released its 2022 semi-annual report. In the first half of this year, Yutong Heavy Industry achieved an operating income of 1.608 billion yuan, a net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company of 167 million yuan, and a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses of 112 million yuan. The net assets attributable to shareholders of the listed company are 2.208 billion yuan and the total assets are 4.379 billion yuan.
Sanitation equipment is one of the main businesses of Yutong Heavy Industry, which has developed steadily in recent years. Among them, the popularization and promotion of new energy sanitation has achieved remarkable results, and the products have won wide recognition from users.
In the first half of this year, 1,912 units of Yutong sanitation equipment were insured, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, far exceeding the industry growth rate and achieving growth against the trend; the market share of new energy sanitation vehicles was 30.5%, ranking first in the industry.
Hydrogen energy, as a clean energy with abundant sources, low carbon and wide application, is gradually becoming one of the most important carriers of global energy transformation and development. Yutong Environmental Sanitation has developed and launched the W18 hydrogen fuel van garbage truck and the W18 hydrogen fuel low-entry cleaning sweeper. The vehicles both use the sanitation-specific hydrogen fuel cell chassis, which is integrally designed with vehicle body and has a higher degree of matching.
In 2021, Yutong Sanitation launched intelligent sanitation solutions such as self-driving vehicle platform, sanitation situation monitoring, and unmanned station, and conducted demonstration operations in Guangzhou. In April this year, Yutong Sanitation and WeRide jointly built China's first mass-produced L4 fully driverless sanitation vehicle, taking a big step in the road of intelligent sanitation vehicles.
