Yuchai Set up New Production Base to Produce Electric Commercial Vehicles

Recently, Yuchai set up a new manufacturing base in Yulin for producing electric commercial vehicles. It is known to have a potential to produce 50,000 electric CVs a year with a comprehensive ability to develop, manufacture, sell and service.

It is reported that the project on electric CVs serves as a key project for Guangxi Machinery Industry in its second venture. With a total investment of 1.34 billion Yuan, the production base extends over a land area of 1 130,800 square meters. Once completed, it could create 1500 jobs and generate revenue of 7 billion Yuan.

According to Yuchai, a whole industry chain of new energy vehicles has been formed in Yuchai, namely parts supply in upperstream, complete new energy lineup in midstream and large scale of production and the layout of Photovoltaic power station and fast charging station in downstream. The person in charge said that with the folding up of the pure electric commercial vehicle project, Yuchai will cultivate and improve a new energy industry that is more open, intelligent, convenient and green.
