Electric Travel Trailer Equipped with ZF Drive System Launched

August 13, 2021,Friedrichshafen, German, Lately, the first electric travel trailer equipped with ZF independent drive system finished the road tests successfully.

The upgraded ZF E.HOME electric drive recreational vehicle has two battery modules, which weigh 600kg. The vehicle is equipped with sensor system, electronic control system and cooling system.

The vehicle has electric drive kit, including motor, power electronics, sensor, braking system and trailer movement control system. Two 330 watts asynchronous motors’ output power is 30kw and maximum power is 90kw. And the maximum torque reaches 1440Nm with two transmissions integrated in every electric drive unit.

After countless tests and improvement, E.HOME electric travel trailer finished the challenge and ran across Alps, with the whole journey of 370km and altitude difference of 1,300m, 6% of which are upward slope. The vehicle still have enough electricity several miles away from the destination even without charging during the process.
