SANY assist rescue work in Turkey

February 16, 2023, Turkey, On February 6, two consecutive 7.8-magnitude earthquakes hit Turkey, causing heavy casualties and property losses. In the face of the disaster, Sany quickly rushed to rescue. As the first and currently the only corporate rescue team connected with the Chinese national rescue team, the front Sany rescue team has worked together with the Chinese rescue team to rescue 3 survivors.

At 9 o’clock local time, the Chinese rescue team found people who might be trapped in the ruins of an 8-story collapsed house in Hatay Antakya. Due to the serious collapse of the building, it was difficult for the earth rescue team to search and rescue, so they asked the Chinese rescuers for help.

After receiving the request, Li Bin, the captain of the Sany Rescue Team, immediately surveyed the terrain with the Chinese Rescue Team and provided support according to the needs of the rescue plan. Among them, the Sany rescue team is responsible for the on-site vehicle security and material transportation tasks.

After the disaster occurred, all forces of Sany Group quickly assembled, and within a day, three rescue teams were sent from Istanbul, Ankara, and Beijing to help the hardest-hit areas.

Among them, the Sany Rescue Team organized by the Sany Southeast Europe Region arrived at the disaster area first after running thousands of kilometers from Istanbul, and successfully joined the Chinese rescue team.

After the rendezvous, Li Bin immediately reported to the Chinese rescue team about the rescue equipment, personnel and material preparations of Sany in the disaster area, and received relevant tasks. According to the arrangement of the China Rescue Team, the Sany Rescue Team shared a camp with him to support rescue operations at any time. "The Trinity Rescue Team is divided into two groups. One group is responsible for providing equipment and technical support for the 'national team', especially in terms of rescue equipment, and the other group is responsible for vehicle and material support."

Sany is an important participant in the Wenchuan Earthquake, Ya'an Earthquake and other rescues. In this Turkish earthquake rescue, Sany is the first rescue team that has connected with the Chinese rescue team.

At the same time, the Putzmeister rescue team of Sany Group and the structural collapse rescue expert team of Sany Foundation are also cooperating in rescue activities in the disaster area. So far, Sany has invested 40 excavators, 10 cranes, and more than 10 service vehicles in the disaster area.
