Sany new energy engineering vehicle test base put into use

April 12, 2023, Hunan, China, Recently, the Sany New Energy Engineering Vehicle Test Center with a total investment of more than 100 million yuan and an area of nearly 100 mu was put into use.

The test center includes two parts, the outdoor test site and the indoor test room. Among them, the outdoor test site is positioned as a forward-looking open and comprehensive test site, which is specially used for vehicle performance and reliability research, and can accommodate more than 20 engineering vehicles to run at the same time.

In addition, the test center also has a motor laboratory, a battery laboratory, an electric control (HIL) laboratory, a hybrid laboratory, a hydrogen fuel laboratory, a battery laboratory, an electric axle laboratory, etc., focusing on motors, batteries, key technologies such as electronic control, hybrid, fuel cells, and electric drive axles.

At present, the test center has undertaken more than 100 sets of testing services for new energy vehicles within the group. Sany hopes to build a professional new energy engineering vehicle test site to meet the growing test demand in the current new energy field and achieve continuous leadership in the new track.

In 2022, Sany won a number of "market firsts" in the field of electrification and occupy a dominant position in the market. Among them, the sales of Sany electric cranes exceeded 1,000 units, accounting for nearly 90% of the market; Sany electric heavy trucks continued to win the annual sales champion, and took the lead in entering the era of electrification 2.0; Sany electric mixer trucks sold more than 1,300 units throughout the year, winning the half of the market share in China.
