Two more SANY demonstration factories added

June 25, 2023, China, In the Sany (Shaoshan) Wind Power 5G+ Industrial Internet Demonstration Factory, Sany Heavy Energy has integrated technologies such as 5G, high-precision positioning, and digital twins to independently develop the first domestic wind power manufacturing digital element platform. This platform realizes the intelligent supervision of all production elements including "people, machines, materials, methods, environment, and quality" and implements full-process control over all process steps that affect product quality. It has transformed the traditional production methods of wind turbine blades, significantly improving the quality and production efficiency of wind turbine blades and providing customers with high-quality wind power products. In March of this year, Sany Heavy Energy produced the world's longest 104-meter onshore wind turbine blade at this factory.

The overall plan for this project includes one network and eight application scenarios, employing industry-leading 5G+ Industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing technologies. It realizes the implementation of eight industrial application scenarios, including process traceability with 5G in the production process, intelligent logistics in the factory area, equipment collaborative operations, and production efficiency control. The project also demonstrates the application of intelligent connected heavy-duty trucks and their core components throughout the entire manufacturing process, including stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and logistics.

Through data-driven operations, the factory integrates supply resources and automates production scheduling, optimizing resource utilization and maximizing production efficiency. It achieves automation rates of material distribution of ≥99%, a 50% improvement in workshop delivery efficiency, a 166% increase in site utilization, an 100% automation rate for workshop robots, and a 10% reduction in electricity costs, among other significant achievements.
