Cummins Completes Acquisition of Faurecia Commercial Vehicle Emissions Business

October 19, 2023, Cummins has recently announced the successful acquisition of the commercial vehicle emissions business of two Faurecia manufacturing plants and related operations, one located in Columbus, Indiana, USA, and the other in Rémire-Montjoly, France. Faurecia is a global leader in automotive technology and a subsidiary of the Faurecia Group. The company has been a partner and supplier to Cummins for over a decade. Cummins is now working to fulfill existing supplier and customer contracts in these two plants and will make necessary investments to meet these commitments. Faurecia will continue to be a supplier to Cummins in India, China, South Africa, and South America.

The total value of the acquisition is approximately 199.2 million euros. It will further expand Cummins' technical capabilities in emissions systems and provide a wealth of technical and manufacturing resources for Cummins' emissions solutions business. This acquisition enhances Cummins' existing product portfolio and offers a long-term business development opportunity, leveraging deep insights into the industry market from both companies. It will promote joint innovation, drive essential technology upgrades, and accelerate progress toward achieving zero-carbon goals.
