Beiqi Foton Flourishes in May

June 14, 2023, China, Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. recently announced its production and sales data for May 2023. The data shows that in May, Beiqi Foton sold a total of 46,106 commercial vehicles, representing a year-on-year growth of 15.2%. From January to May 2023, Beiqi Foton accumulated sales of 257,368 commercial vehicles, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 22.5%.

In May 2023, Beiqi Foton sold 8,623 medium and heavy-duty trucks, a slight increase of 0.5% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the sales of the Auman brand reached 5,367 vehicles, representing a growth of 14.3% year-on-year. From January to May, Beiqi Foton accumulated sales of 54,614 medium and heavy-duty trucks, with the Auman brand accounting for 33,677 vehicles, reflecting a cumulative year-on-year growth of 36.8%.

In May, Beiqi Foton sold 33,016 light-duty trucks, showing a year-on-year growth of 16.9%. From January to May, the cumulative sales of light-duty trucks reached 175,270 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 21.4%.

Furthermore, Beiqi Foton's new energy vehicle market witnessed a significant increase. The data reveals that in May, Beiqi Foton sold 2,406 new energy vehicles, marking a year-on-year growth of 107.8%. From January to May, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles amounted to 11,718 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 128.8%.

In May, Beiqi Foton sold 21,249 engines, indicating a significant year-on-year growth of 52.1%. Among them, the sales of Foton Cummins engines reached 13,120 units, showing a year-on-year growth of 6.5%, while the sales of Foton engines reached 8,129 units, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year growth of 392.7%.

In terms of cumulative sales, from January to May, Beiqi Foton accumulated sales of 115,457 engines, representing a year-on-year growth of 16.9%. Among them, the cumulative sales of Foton Cummins engines reached 84,201 units, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 7.8%, while the sales of Foton engines reached 31,256 units, indicating a year-on-year growth of 51.3%.
