Cummins Enze PEM hydrogen equipment production base put into operation

April 28, 2023, Guangdong, China, Today, Cummins Enze (Guangdong) Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis water hydrogen production equipment production base was put into operation, with the first localized product HyLYZER - 1000 online. The production of this base marks that Cummins has established a complete capacity for localized production, manufacturing, research and development testing, and customized services throughout the entire lifecycle of PEM hydrogen production equipment, which will accelerate the large-scale application of green hydrogen in China and achieve the dual carbon goal.

This base is located in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, and is currently one of the first gigawatt grade PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment factories put into use in China. It is also an internationally leading green hydrogen equipment technology research and development and manufacturing base. The base covers an area of approximately 70000 square meters, including an office building, training, and engineering center of 4500 square meters. The factory adopts a lean and flexible production model, which can complete welding, degreasing, assembly, testing and other processes. The production capacity of the first phase can reach 500 megawatts, and the second phase can be expanded to 1 gigawatt.

At present, the first batch of domestically produced PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production products, HyLYZER - 1000 has been launched and is planned to be delivered before the end of 2023. PEM equipment components can achieve 100% localization, greatly reducing product manufacturing costs and achieving rapid delivery. With continuous product performance improvement and application expansion, it will promote the large-scale production of green hydrogen manufacturing equipment.
